Sportliche Laufbahn

Gratton war im Straßenradsport aktiv. Von 1957 bis 1962 war er Unabhängiger und Berufsfahrer. 1958 gewann er die Straßenmeisterschaft Monacos als Unabhängiger. 1957 wurde er Vizemeister hinter Pierre Moal. 1960 gewann er das Etappenrennen Tour de Côte d’Ivoire. Er gewann die Eintagesrennen Castelna–Magnoac, Souvenir Vietto-Gianello, Nizza–Mont Agel sowie Golf du Mont Agel 1958, Golf du Mont Agel 1959, Labastide-d’Armagnac 1960 sowie eine Etappe der Trophée Nice Matin 1961. Zweiter wurde er 1959 bei Nizza–Mont Agel, Dritter im Grand Prix de Monaco 1959.

1960 startete Gratton in der Internationalen Friedensfahrt, in der zu dieser Zeit auch Unabhängige zugelassen waren. Er belegte den 57. Gesamtrang in der Rundfahrt. Im Rennen der Amateure bei den Straßenradsport-Weltmeisterschaften 1954 belegte Gratton den 24. Rang.
