Angustopelta ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit vier Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 266 und 1775 m im zentralen Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax wird bis zu 19 mm lang. Der vordere Seitenrand ist mit Zähnen oder Höckern bewehrt oder glatt. Die Augenstiele sind unbeweglich und etwa zylindrisch. Der Merus des Scherenbeins trägt auf der Unterseite vier große Zähne und am Ende des Innenrands einen Zahn. Das erste Gonopodium hat eine Einziehung zwischen dem Basalteil und dem schmaleren Endstück und ist auswärts gebogen. Das zweite Gonopodium ist halb so lang wie das erste oder noch kürzer.[2]
