Austruca ist eine Gattung der Ocypodoidea mit 13 rezenten Arten.[1] Sie bewohnen Flussmündungen und die Gezeitenzone im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik sowie in der gemäßigten Klimazone im Südosten Australiens.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax ist bis zu 15 mm breit und hat bis zu zwei hinten-seitliche Streifen (Striae). Die Stirn ist breit. Die rückenseitige Kante der Augenhöhle ist schmal. Die Außenfläche des Propodus der größeren Schere bei Männchen ist glatt und weist keine Vertiefung nahe der Basis des feststehenden Fingers (Dactylus) auf. Die Carpalhöhle (Vertiefung am Carpus) hat eine distale Erweiterung. Der Unterrand des Dactylus ist manchmal kielartig, ein Zahn dicht vor dem Ende ist nicht ausgebildet. Ein Arretiermechanismus für das Pleon ist vorhanden. Die Magenmühle (siehe auch Krabben#Verdauungssystem) hat keine großen bräunlichen Borsten an der Basis der hinteren Zahnplatte.[2]

Synonyme sind Austruca (Cuneatuca) Rosenberg, 2019, Austruca (Sinduca) Rosenberg, 2019 und Uca (Austruca) Bott, 1973.[1]
