Baddi (Hindi बद्दी Baddī) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Council) im indischen Bundesstaat Himachal Pradesh.[3]

Baddi befindet sich im Distrikt Solan.[3] Beim Zensus 2011 betrug die Einwohnerzahl 25.639, mit Vororten sind es 29.911.[3] Die Bevölkerung teilt sich folgendermaßen auf: 95 % Hindus, 3,3 % Muslime und 0,8 % Sikhs.[3] Die Stadt liegt auf einer Höhe von 442 m in einem Becken, dass im Nordosten vom Vorderen Himalaya und im Südwesten von einer Siwalikkette eingerahmt wird. Der Fluss Sirsa Nadi, ein linker Nebenfluss des Satluj, durchströmt das Becken in nordwestlicher Richtung. Die Distrikthauptstadt Solan befindet sich 30 km östlich von Baddi.

In Baddi befindet sich die Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technologies.

Klima

Das Klima in Baddi ist subtropisch. In den Sommermonaten Juli und August, während der Monsunzeit, fallen die meisten Niederschläge. Der durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlag beträgt 1186 mm. Die Jahresmitteltemperatur liegt bei 23,4 °C.
