Baramulla (auch Baramula; Urdu بارہ مولہ) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Council) im Nordwesten des indischen Unionsterritorium Jammu und Kashmir.
Sie bildet den Verwaltungssitz des gleichnamigen Distrikts. Beim Zensus 2011 lag die Einwohnerzahl bei 58.053, mit Vororten bei 71.434.
Die Stadt Baramulla liegt im nordwestlichen Teil des Kaschmirtals am Flussufer des Jhelam auf einer Höhe von 1586 m. Westlich von Baramulla erhebt sich die Gebirgskamm des Pir Panjal. Zur 45 km ostsüdöstlich von Baramulla gelegenen Provinzhauptstadt Srinagar führt neben dem National Highway 1A auch eine Eisenbahnlinie.
Klima
Das Klima in Baramulla ist in den Sommermonaten Juli und August vom Monsun bestimmt. Der durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlag beträgt 923,5 mm.
