Benjamin Emanuel[1] Busam (* 1987) ist ein deutscher Mathematiker, Informatiker und seit 2025 Universitätsprofessor für Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung an der Technischen Universität München.[2]

Leben

Benjamin Busam studierte Mathematik an der TU München und schloss seinen Master mit Schwerpunkt Geometrie ab.[3] Anschließend absolvierte er postgraduale Studien in Mathematik und Physik an der ParisTech und der Universität Melbourne. Daraufhin war er in der Wirtschaft tätig: als Head of Research bei der FRAMOS GmbH in München und von 2018 bis 2020 als 3D Computer Vision Team Lead bei Huawei Research in London.[2][4]

Busam promovierte 2021 an der TU München bei Nassir Navab in Informatik im Bereich 3D Computer Vision zum Thema Hochperformante Visuelle Posenberechnung.[1]

Zum 1. September 2025 folgte der Ruf an die TU München als Professor für Photogrammetrie und Fernerkundung.[2] Einen Monat später übernahm er interimsweise auch den Lehrstuhl für Methodik der Fernerkundung.[4]
