Brainticket war eine Psychedelic-Rock-Band, die Anfang der 1970er Jahre von dem belgischen Multiinstrumentalisten Joël Vandroogenbroeck gegründet wurde.
Geschichte
Brainticket entstand aus der im Jahre 1967 gegründeten Soul-Jazz-Band Barry Window and the Movements (mit dem Schweizer Sänger Barry Window), deren Mitglieder Joël Vandroogenbroeck, Ron Bryer und Wolfgang Paap zusammen mit einigen gleichgesinnten süddeutschen Krautrock-Musikern eine neue, internationale Band gründeten. Brainticket löste sich 1975 auf.
1980 kam es zu einer Neugründung mit Vandroogenbroeck, Hans Deyssenroth und Willy Seefeldt, die bis 1983 hielt.
2011 reformierte sich die Band. Die Bandgeschichte endete 2019 mit dem Tod von Joël Vandroogenbroeck.
