Die Einwohner werden Cessonnais genannt.

Geographie

Cesson liegt etwa vierzig Kilometer südöstlich von Paris; westlich des Hauptortes liegt der Ort Saint-Leu.

Umgeben ist Cesson von den Gemeinden Réau im Norden, Vert-Saint-Denis im Osten, Boissise-la-Bertrand im Süden sowie Savigny-le-Temple und Seine-Port im Westen.

Verkehr

Cesson hat einen Bahnhof an der Bahnstrecke Paris–Marseille, der 1855 von der Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Lyon eröffnet wurde. Er wird von Zügen der Linie D des Réseau express régional (RER) bedient.

Durch den Ort führt die Departementsstraße D 346. Die Autobahnen A 5 und A 105 verlaufen nördlich und östlich der Stadt.
