Collodes ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Inachoididae mit 16 Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone, den Schelf und den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 7 und 683 m im tropischen Westatlantik und im tropischen Ostpazifik.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax ist bis zu 30 mm lang, birnenförmig oder annähernd rund und mit Höckern, manchmal mit Dornen besetzt. Das Rostrum (mittiger Stirnfortsatz) ist gestutzt, dreieckig oder gegabelt. Das basale Antennenglied trägt einen glatten oder geriffelten Kiel, der etwa parallel zum Seitenrand der Antennulengrube verläuft, und einen vorn-seitlichen Zahn.[2]
