Cycloxanthops ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit vier rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 73 Metern im tropischen Ostpazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax wird maximal 31 mm lang. Er ist glatt und die Regionen sind abgrenzbar. Die Stirn ist durch eine mittige Spalte geteilt. Sie ragt deutlich über den oberen Rand der Augenhöhle hinaus und auch die ausgestreckten Augenstiele erreichen nicht den Stirnrand. Der vordere Seitenrand ist mit acht Zähnen bewehrt. Die Schreitbeine sind kräftig, der Merus des letzten Schreitbeins ist weniger als doppelt so lang wie breit. Der sechste Somit des Pleons hat bei Männchen die Kontur eines längsgestellten Rechtecks.[2]
