Dehydrolinalool ist eine chemische Verbindung aus der Gruppe der tertiären ungesättigten Alkohole und ein Propargylalkohol-Derivat

Gewinnung und Darstellung

Dehydrolinalool kann durch Basen katalysierte Ethinylierung von 6-Methyl-5-hepten-2-on mit Acetylen gewonnen werden.[5]

Eigenschaften

Dehydrolinalool ist eine farblose bis gelbliche bis leicht orange klare Flüssigkeit.[1] Bei der Behandlung mit Ameisensäure wird die Verbindung durch eine Rupe-Umlagerung zu 1-(3,3-Dimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)ethanon[S 1] cyclisiert.[6]

Dehydrolinalool gilt als schwer entzündliche Flüssigkeit. Oberhalb des Flammpunktes können sich entzündliche Dampf-Luft-Gemische bilden. Die Verbindung hat einen Flammpunkt bei 80 °C.[2] Der Explosionsbereich liegt zwischen 1 Vol.‑% als untere Explosionsgrenze (UEG) und 6 Vol.‑% als obere Explosionsgrenze (OEG).[2] Die Zündtemperatur beträgt 250 °C.[2] Der Stoff fällt somit in die Temperaturklasse T3.

Verwendung

Dehydrolinalool wird als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von Terpenalkoholen für die Parfumindustrie verwendet.[4] Die Verbindung wird auch als Duftstoff in dekorativen Kosmetika, feinen Parfüms, Shampoos, Toilettenseifen und anderen Toilettenartikeln sowie in nicht-kosmetischen Produkten wie Haushaltsreinigern und Waschmitteln verwendet.[3]
