Doloktiya (Sulkhtiya) und Durayn sind Ausläufer, Sandbänke des Kaps Ras Gumarlah, westlich des Zeila-Archipels in Somalia.

Geographie

Das flache, sandige Eiland gehört zu einer langgezogenen Sandbank, einer Nehrung, welche sich von Ceel Qori (El Qori) aus nach Norden zieht. Es liegt in der Verlängerung, in etwa 1,7 km Entfernung nordwestlich, von Durayn. Die Insel war Teil des früheren Schwemmkegels des Wadi Bariisle (Ouadi Brisle), welches heute etwa 2,5 km weiter südlich ins Meer mündet. Die Insel bildet auch den östlichen Abschluss der Bucht Baie Dalwakteak (Mersa Dalwakteah).[1][2]

Klima

Als Klima herrscht heißes Steppenklima mit Monsuneinfluss.
