Enoplida ist eine Ordnung der Fadenwürmer mit etwa 480 Arten.[1] Sie sind größtenteils freilebend im Boden sowie im Meer- und Brackwasser. Sie ernähren sich von Kieselalgen und Algen.[2]

Merkmale

Der Kopf ist ohne Borsten. Die Ösophagusdrüsen öffnen sich in die Mundhöhle oder nahe ihr. Schwanzdrüsen sind ausgebildet. Männchen haben zarte Anhangsorgane. Der die Spicula vorziehende Muskel setzt an einem Manubrium an und ist nicht als die Spicula umgebende Kapsel ausgebildet.[2]

Systematik

Die Ordnung wird von Hodda (2022) in eine Unterordnung (Enoplina) drei Überfamilien und sechs Familien untergliedert:[1]
