Epiactaea ist eine Gattung der Rundkrabben mit drei rezenten Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 96 m im Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 18 mm lang. Die Regionen sind durch zusammengesetzte Höcker und Körneransammlungen gekennzeichnet, die durch breite Rinnen deutlich abgegrenzt und variabel beborstet sind. Die thorakalen Sterniten 3 und 4 sind bei Männchen nur an den Seiten des Sternums abgegrenzt. Die Schreitbeine sind kräftig. Der Merus des letzten Schreitbeins ist weniger als 2,5-mal so lang wie breit. Der Oberrand der Meri, Carpi und Propodi ist knotig.[2]
