Eplumula (von lateinisch e- ‚ohne‘ und plumula ‚kleine Feder‘[1]) ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit zwei Arten.[2] Sie bewohnen Schelf und Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 30 und 300 m im gemäßigten Nordwestpazifik, im zentralen Indopazifik und im gemäßigten Australasien.[3]

Merkmale

Der Carapax von Eplumula wird bis zu 19 mm lang. Das letzte Schreitbein (P5) ist glatt.[3] Der Propodus ist halb so lang oder kürzer als der Carpus und ohne die Reihe federartiger langer Borsten wie bei der Schwestergattung Latreillia, was namensgebend war. Die Scheren (Chelae) ausgewachsener Männchen sind kräftig und etwa so breit wie der „Hals“.[1]
