Der Geely GC9 ist eine Limousine der oberen Mittelklasse des chinesischen Automobilherstellers Geely, die von Peter Horbury, dem ehemaligen Designer von Volvo, gestaltet wurde. Das Profil soll den Chevrolet Impala zitieren.[2]
Geschichte
Der GC9 kam am 9. März 2015 in China auf den Markt,[3] ab 2016 wurde das Fahrzeug als Geely Emgrand GT auch in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten verkauft.
2016 wurde die Limousine in China als „Car of the year“ ausgezeichnet.[4] Außerdem gilt der GC9 in China als erstes inländisches Fahrzeug, das erfolgreich im Segment der oberen Mittelklasse ist.[5]
Im April 2018 präsentierte Geely auf der Beijing Auto Show mit dem GE ein Hybridfahrzeug auf Basis des GC9. Dieses wird in China seit Ende Mai 2018 verkauft.[6]

Als Antriebsvarianten stehen drei Ottomotoren mit einem 6-Gang-Automatikgetriebe zur Auswahl.
