Das Generic Access Profile (GAP) ist das grundlegende Signalisierungsprotokoll für schnurlose Telefonie mittels Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT).

Die Spezifikation wurde vom European Telecommunications Standards Institute (Europäisches Institut für Telekommunikationsnormen, ETSI) erarbeitet und im Dezember 1995 zunächst als ETS 300 444 herausgegeben, im Oktober 2017 als Europäische Norm EN 300 444 veröffentlicht.[1] Sie beschreibt, welche Verfahren zur Interoperabilität von Geräten verschiedener Hersteller eingesetzt werden sollen. Obligatorisch ist in GAP nur wenig. Die übliche Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) bleibt beispielsweise freigestellt.[2]
