Hexapinus ist eine Gattung der Krabben-Familie Hexapodidae mit sieben Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die tiefe Gezeitenzone (subtidal) und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 5 und 27 m im zentralen Indopazifik und in der gemäßigten Klimazone des Nordwestpazifiks.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 18 mm lang. Der dritte bis fünfte Somit des Pleons sind bei Männchen verschmolzen. Der sechste Somit ist breiter als lang und basal verengt. Das Ischium des dritten Maxillipeden ist zur Mitte hin erweitert und bedeckt die Mundhöhle. Das erste Gonopodium ist leicht gebogen, das letzte Fünftel liegt frei.[2]
