IC 773 ist eine Balken-Spiralgalaxie vom Hubble-Typ SB0/a[2] mit ausgedehnten Sternentstehungsgebieten im Sternbild Jungfrau auf der Ekliptik. Sie ist schätzungsweise 241 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 55.000 Lichtjahren. Unter der Katalognummer VCC 271 wird sie als Mitglied des Virgo-Galaxienhaufens gelistet, ist dafür jedoch zu weit entfernt.

Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 4260, NGC 4261, IC 3136, IC 3155.

Das Objekt wurde am 4. Mai 1893 vom französischen Astronomen Stéphane Javelle entdeckt.[3]
