Indomiscus ist eine Gattung der Krabben-Familie Potamidae mit drei rezenten Arten.[1] Die Süßwasserkrabben kommen in Indien vor.[2]

Indomiscus ist eine Gattung der Krabben-Familie Potamidae mit drei rezenten Arten.[1] Die Süßwasserkrabben kommen in Indien vor.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist relativ flach und deutlich breiter als lang. Die Regionen sind gut abgegrenzt, Stirn- und Kiemenregion sind runzelig. Die epigastrischen und postorbitalen Kämme sind deutlich, die Halsfurche ist S-förmig. Die Sternopleonalhöhle reicht bis zu einer gedachten Linie durch die Mitte der Ursprünge der Scherenbeine, ein Querkamm zwischen den Sterniten 7 und 8 ist nicht ausgebildet. Die relativ kurzen und kräftigen Schreitbeine und der Carapax sind mit kurzen Borsten bedeckt. Der Exopodit des dritten Maxillipeden ist ohne Geißel. Das Pleon der Männchen ist schmal. Das Endglied des ersten Gonopodiums weist eine hohe rückenseitige Falte auf.[2]
