Isotyp (von altgriechisch ἴσος isos, deutsch ‚gleich‘, und altgriechisch τύπος typos, deutsch ‚Wesen‘, ‚Charakter‘) bezeichnet:
- den nomenklatorischen Isotyp in der Botanik, siehe Typus (Nomenklatur)#Botanik,
- die Produkte von durch Duplikation mehrfach im Genom vorkommenden Genen, die eine sehr ähnliche Funktion haben,
- die fünf verschiedenen Klassen von Immunglobulinen, siehe Antikörper#Verschiedene Klassen von Antikörpern.
In der Mineralogie nennt man Substanzen, die zum gleichen Strukturtyp gehören, isotyp; man spricht dann von Isotypie.
