Kurt Innes (* 4. Februar 1971 in Deloraine (Manitoba)) ist ein ehemaliger kanadischer Radrennfahrer und nationaler Meister im Radsport.

Sportliche Laufbahn

Innes war im Bahnradsport aktiv sowie Mitglied der Nationalmannschaft. Er war Teilnehmer der Olympischen Sommerspiele 1992 in Barcelona. Im 1000-Meter-Zeitfahren belegte er beim Sieg von José Moreno Periñán Platz 23. Er war mehrfacher kanadischer Meister im Bahnradsport. Bei den Commonwealth Games 1994 wurde er 11. im 1000-Meter-Zeitfahren. Innes vertrat Kanada bei mehreren Bahnradsport-Weltmeisterschaften.

Berufliches

Nach seiner aktiven Karriere wurde er Nationaltrainer der kanadischen Bahnfahrer. 1998 und 1999 wurde er mit dem „Coaching Excellence Award“ der Coaches Association of Canada ausgezeichnet. Er absolvierte den Studiengang Sportmanagement an der Mount Royal University sowie das National Coaching Institute in Calgary.[1]
