Lamoha ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit zehn Arten.[1] Sie kommen vom Schelf bis zum Tiefseeboden in Tiefen zwischen 35 und 2000 m im tropischen Atlantik, im Indopazifik und in der gemäßigten Klimazone Australasiens vor.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax von Lamoha wird bis zu 58 mm lang und hat eine glatte Oberfläche oder ist im vorderen Bereich mit Höckern besetzt. Der vordere und hintere Seitenrand sind glatt oder mit einigen kleinen Dornen bewaffnet. Das Rostrum (mittiger Fortsatz vorn) ist einfach oder gegabelt. Das Pseudorostrum (Dorn beidseits des Rostrums) ist sehr klein und liegt an der Basis des Rostrums. Das Grundglied des Augenstiels ist kurz, sein Endglied und die Cornea sind zylindrisch und in einem flachen Hohlraum im vorderen Carapax lokalisiert. Das Scherenbein hat bei Männchen einen schwarzen Fleck an der Basis des unbeweglichen Fingers. Das letzte Schreitbein ist dünner als die vorderen drei und reicht nicht bis an den Merus des vorletzten Schreitbeins.[2]
