Lithoscaptus ist eine Gattung der Gallkrabben mit 13 Arten.[1] Die Vertreter bewohnen Gezeitenzone und Schelf in Tiefen bis 25 m im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik.[2] Sie sind obligate Symbionten bei Steinkorallen.[3]

Merkmale

Lithoscaptus wird bis zu 4,4 mm lang. Der Carapax ist in der Mitte am breitesten und vorn eingezogen. Die vordere Verlängerung des vierten thorakalen Sterniten ist glatt.[2]
