- Epinikion, an einen Sieger im Wettkampf gerichtete Form des antiken Enkomions
- Laudatio, in der Antike allgemein eine Lobrede, heute spezifische Form der Würdigung bei Preisverleihungen
- Lobgedicht, Preisgedicht oder Preisung, die moderne, vor allem höfische Entsprechung des antiken Enkomions
- Preislied, in der germanischen Dichtung ein Einzellied, das die Leistungen eines Anwesenden oder Jüngstverstorbenen verherrlicht
