Sportliche Karriere

Margit Signoretti startete für den SK VÖEST Linz, ab 1974 trat Margit Hubner für den ATSV Linz an. Bei den Österreichischen Staatsmeisterschaften gewann sie von 1967 bis 1980 13 Meistertitel, nur 1978 wurde ihre Serie von Susanne Spacek unterbrochen.[1]

Ihre Bestleistung von 54,46 Meter warf Hubner am 28. März 1979 in Pretoria.[2] Diese Leistung wurde aber, da im damals vom Weltsport ausgeschlossenen Südafrika erzielt, nie als österreichischer Landesrekord anerkannt, obwohl die Weite erst 1984 übertroffen wurde.[3] Offiziell gilt ihr Landesrekord von 50,96 Meter vom 22. Juni 1969 in Bratislava als ihre Bestleistung.[4]
