Metasesarma ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie der Sesarmidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie bewohnen die Spritzwasserzone im zentralen Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Metasesarma wird bis zu 24 mm lang. Der Carapax ist quadratisch, konvex und glatt. Der epibranchiale Zahn fehlt. Der Antennenstiel liegt außerhalb der Augenhöhle. Die Oberseite der Hand (Propodus) der Scheren (Chelae) der Männchen weist eine Linie aus mikroskopisch kleinen Körnchen auf. Die Finger der Schreitbeine (P2 bis P5) sind länger als der halbe jeweilige Propodus.[2]
