- Michigan-Synode (1860), 1917 in der Wisconsin-Synode (WELS) aufgegangen
Teil von größeren Kirchen waren oder sind die
- Michigan-Synode (ULCA), eine von 1920 bis 1962 bestehende Teilsynode der ULCA
- Michigan-Synode (LCA), eine von 1962 bis 1987 bestehende Gebietssynode der LCA
- Südost-Michigan-Synode, seit 1988 eine Gebietssynode der ELCA.
- Nordwest-Niedermichigan-Synode, seit 1988 eine Gebietssynode der ELCA.
