Mobara liegt südöstlich von Chiba und südlich von Tōgane.

Wirtschaft

Mobara war lange ein Verteilungszentrum für landwirtschaftliche und Fischerei-Produkte. Nach der Entdeckung von natürlichem Gasvorkommen im Jahr 1931 entwickelte sich der Ort zu einem Industriestandort.
