Werden in der Produktion auf ein und denselben Maschinen oder auf einem Fließband unterschiedliche Produkte oder Produktvarianten gefertigt, dann soll die Festlegung eines Modellmixes dafür sorgen, das die Gesamtproduktion effizient und wirtschaftlich abläuft.
