Myomenippe ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie kommen in der Gezeitenzone zwischen Hoch- und Niedrigwasserlinie (intertidal) im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik vor.[2]

Merkmale

Myomenippe wird bis zu 60 mm lang. Der Carapax ist glatt, die Regionen sind mäßig abgegrenzt. Die Stirn trägt sechs Lappen, der Abstand zwischen den Antennen beträgt ein Fünftel der maximalen Carapaxbreite. Der vordere Seitenrand ist länger als der hintere und trägt neben dem Exorbitalzahn drei Lappen, von denen der erste quadratisch und der letzte am größten ist, sowie einen scharfen Epibranchialzahn. Der obere und untere Augenhöhlenwinkel stehen in Kontakt, ein Augenhöhlenschlitz ist nicht ausgebildet. Das Basalglied der Antennen liegt außerhalb der Augenhöhle.[2]
