NGC 3048 ist ein optisches Galaxienpaar im Sternbild Löwe an der Ekliptik. Die Spiralgalaxie PGC 28595 ist schätzungsweise 392 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt, PGC 1509261 hingegen etwa 444 Millionen Lichtjahre.

Das Objekt wurde am 27. April 1864 vom deutschen Astronomen Albert Marth entdeckt.[4]
