NGC 3406 ist ein interagierendes Galaxienpaar im Sternbild Großer Bär am Nordsternhimmel. Es ist schätzungsweise 321 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt.
Das Objekt wurde am 17. Februar 1831 von John Herschel entdeckt.[3]
