NGC 6582 ist eine optische Doppelgalaxie, bestehend aus den Galaxien PGC 61510 und PGC 61513. Beide sind elliptisch, vom Hubble-Typ E-S0 und im Sternbild Herkules zu finden.

Beide wurden als ein Objekt am 24. Juli 1884 von dem US-amerikanischen Astronomen Lewis A. Swift entdeckt.[3]
