NGC 7246 = IC 5198 ist eine Spiralgalaxie mit ausgedehnten Sternentstehungsgebieten vom Hubble-Typ Sa im Sternbild Aquarius auf der Ekliptik. Sie ist schätzungsweise 189 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 80.000 Lj.

Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 7251 und IC 1440.

Das Objekt wurde am 6. September 1793 von Wilhelm Herschel entdeckt.[4]
