Neotroglocarcinus ist eine Gattung der Gallkrabben mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie kommen in der tieferen Gezeitenzone (subtidal) in Tiefen zwischen 1 und 13 m im zentralen Indopazifik vor.[2] Wie alle Gallkrabben sind sie obligate Symbionten bei Steinkorallen.[3]

Merkmale

Neotroglocarcinus wird bis zu 3,5 mm lang. Der Carapax ist hinter der Mitte am breitesten, vasenförmig und vorn abgekrümmt. Die mesogastrische Region ist leicht aufgetrieben und von Längsrillen flankiert. Die vordere Verlängerung des vierten thorakalen Sterniten ist mit Höckern besetzt. Der Innenwinkel am Ende des Merus des ersten Schreitbeinpaares ist erweitert und überragt die Seitenkante des Rückenpanzers.[2]
