Neuromorphic Engineering (engl.) ist eine neue interdisziplinäre Richtung biologisch inspirierter Physik, Mathematik, Informatik und Ingenieurwissenschaften zur Entwicklung neuraler Systeme und der Verbesserung der künstlichen Intelligenz. Dies dient der Entwicklung von Anwendungen wie dem maschinellen Sehen, „head-eye systems“, maschinellem Hörverstehen, sowie autonomen Robotern.
