- die normierte Größe eines Grubenfeldes, siehe Geviertfeld
- das Magnet- bzw. Schwerefeld, das nicht durch Inhomogenitäten der Erdkruste bestimmt ist, sondern durch die Eigenschaften der gesamten Erde. Die tatsächlichen Messungen auf Punkten der Erdoberfläche weichen vom Normalfeld um eine sogenannte Anomalie ab, siehe Magnetische Anomalie oder Schwereanomalie
- eine Sammlung zweier gegenläufiger Diskurse zu ein und demselben Themenkomplex in der sozialwissenschaftlichen Theorie des Normalismus. Die Diskurse, die letztlich die Grundlage von Normalisierung sind, werden in protonormalistisch und flexibel-normalistisch unterteilt.
