Paracoris ist eine Gattung der der Junkerlippfische (Julidinae) mit sieben Arten, die im tropischen Indischen Ozean, im tropischen und subtropischen Pazifik und im Roten Meer vorkommt.
Merkmale
Die Arten der Gattung Paracoris haben einen schlanken Körper. Die Höhe des Rumpfes beträgt maximal 24 bis 32 % der Standardlänge. Die Kopflänge entspricht in der Regel der maximalen Körperhöhe. Das Maul ist klein und reicht nicht bis unter die Augen.[1]

- Schuppenformel: 48–55.
