Sportliche Laufbahn
Merren war im Straßenradsport aktiv. Er nahm an den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1988 in Seoul teil. Im olympischen Straßenrennen belegte er Platz 58 und war damit bester Fahrer seines Landes.
Seine Geschwister Craig Merren und Merilyn Phillips waren ebenfalls im Radsport aktiv und bei Olympischen Sommerspielen im Radsport am Start.
