Peter Prompe (* 26. Mai 1947 in Berlin) ist ein ehemaliger Ruderer aus der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik.

Er trat bei den Olympischen Spielen 1968 in Mexiko-Stadt an. Im Achter kam er mit einer Zeit von 6:11,69 min mit dem Team aus Günter Bergau, Klaus-Dieter Bähr, Peter Gorny, Reinhard Zerfowski, Peter Hein, Manfred Schneider, Claus Wilcke und Karl-Heinz Danielowski (Stm.) auf Rang sieben. Er gewann 1968, 1969 und 1972 die DDR-Meisterschaften im Achter und 1970 auch im Zweier ohne Steuermann mit Reinhard Zerfowski.
