Physachaeus ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Inachidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 350 und 694 m in der gemäßigten Klimazone des Nordwestpazifiks, im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik.[2.1]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 11 mm lang und mit Höckern besetzt. Das Rostrum (mittiger Stirnfortsatz) besteht aus zwei dreieckigen Zähnen. Die Augenstiele sind etwa so lang wie die Breite zwischen den Augenhöhlen und nahezu unbeweglich. Die Schreitbeine sind schlank und drei bis fünfmal so lang wie der Carapax. Alle ihre Finger sind schlank, leicht gebogen und ihr Beugerand bezahnt.[2.1]

Systematik

Die Gattung ist keiner der Unterfamilien zugeordnet,[1] die Untergliederung der Inachidae in Unterfamilien ist aber sowieso umstritten.[2.2] Sie umfasst folgende Arten:[1]
