Pseudopalicus ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit zwölf Arten. Die Vertreter bewohnen den Schelf und den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 30 und 660 m im gemäßigten Nordwestpazifik, Indopazifik und Australasien.[1]

Merkmale

Pseudopalicus ist bis zu 22 mm lang. Der Carapax ist breiter als lang und sechseckig. Der vordere Seitenrand ist stark gebogen und mit drei oder vier spitzen Zähnen bewaffnet. Der obere Augenhöhlenrand hat zwei V-förmige Einschnitte. Carpus und Propodus (zu den Gliedmaßenabschnitte siehe den Artikel Spaltbein) der ersten drei Schreitbeinpaare sind abgeflacht. Der Rand des Merus dieser Extremitäten ist mit Höckern oder Zähnen besetzt, ebenso die Beugeseiten von Propodus und Dactylus.[1]
