Pyflubumid ist ein Insektizid, Akarizid und Mitizid aus der Gruppe der Pyrazolcarboximide. Der Stoff wirkt als Inhibitor der mitochondrialen Komplex-II-Elektronentransportkette und wird seit 2015 gegen verschiedene Schädlinge eingesetzt, darunter Spinnmilben, Thripse, Blattläuse, Weiße Fliegen, Minierer und Reiskäfer. Die wichtigsten Anwendungsgebiete sind Tee, Zitrus, Baumwolle und Reis.[2][3]
Pyflubumid ist in der EU und Großbritannien nicht zugelassen, findet jedoch in Ländern wie den USA, Japan, Korea und Jordanien Anwendung.[2]
