Belag und Darreichungsform sind regional unterschiedlich. In Südbaden handelt es sich beim Restaurationsbrot um eine herzhafte Vespermahlzeit mit hausgemachter Wurst und Bauernbrot, bei der Wurstteller und Brotkorb getrennt gereicht werden.
