Rodriguezus ist eine Gattung der Krabben mit vier Arten.[1] Sie sind wie alle Pseudothelphusidae Süßwasserkrabben. Ihr Verbreitungsgebiet ist die Küste Venezuelas, Trinidad und Tobago sowie die Isla Margarita. Der Gattungsname ist dem venezolanischen Karzinologen Gilberto Rodríguez gewidmet.[2]

Merkmale

Der Exopodit des dritten Maxillipeden hat etwa ein Fünftel der Länge des Ischiums seines Endopoditen. Die Öffnung der Ausströmbahn der Kiemenkammer ist offen. Das erste Gonopodium hat einen langen subapikalen mesialen Fortsatz, der etwa dreieckig ist. Eine seitlich-apikale Höhle ist vorhanden. Die Mesialplatte ist konisch oder pyramidal, abgerundet, vertikal mit einem geneigten Seitenrand. Die Basis der Mesialplatte ist in der cephalo-apikalen Höhle lokalisiert.[2]
