Sunipea ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Inachidae mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 40 und 155 m im zentralen und westlichen Indopazifik.[2.1]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 14 mm lang und am Hinterrand mit einem Dorn oder niedrigen Höcker bewehrt. Das Rostrum (mittiger Stirnfortsatz) besteht aus zwei, in der ersten Hälfte parallel verlaufenen Lappen. Der Überaugenvorsprung trägt vor der Augenhöhle einen Dorn und einen kleinen Lappen. Die Augenstiele sind verlängert. Die Schreitbeine sind etwa so lang wie der Carapax, ihre Propodi sind zylindrisch.[2.1]

Systematik

Die Gattung ist keiner der Unterfamilien zugeordnet,[1] die Untergliederung der Inachidae in Unterfamilien ist aber sowieso umstritten.[2.2] Sie umfasst folgende Arten:[1]
