Geschichte
Winside wurde 1886 gegründet, als die Eisenbahnlinie bis dorthin ausgebaut wurde. Der Name, zu deutsch Gewinnerseite, entstand aus der Hoffnung der Gründer, dass Winside den Eisenbahnanschluss gegenüber der rivalisierenden Stadt Northside gewinnen würde.[2][3]
