Phryneta es un género de escarabajos longicornios de la subfamilia Lamiinae.[1]
Las larvas se alimentan de la madera de una variedad de especies de árboles. Algunas especies son plagas, como Phryneta spinator que se alimenta de higueras, entre otras especies.[2]
