Sanchezia est un genre de plantes à fleurs de la famille des Acanthacées. Il regroupe une vingtaine d'espèces originaires des régions tropicales d'Amérique.

Étymologie

Le nom de genre fut donné en hommage à Josepho Sanchez qui fut auditeur au jardin botanique de Madrid et professeur de botanique à l'université de Cadix[1].
